Richard Angelo, Esq., CLTP
Richard A. Angelo, a thirty-year veteran of the title insurance industry, is currently Vice President and Eastern Claims Director for First American Title Insurance Company. Based in the Divisional Office in King of Prussia, he is responsible for all claims activities in 25 states and territories. His previous responsibilities at First American include serving as State Manager for New Jersey, Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as Pennsylvania State Counsel.
Rich earned his Bachelor of Science degree at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and his Juris Doctorate at Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, New Jersey. He earned the Certified Land Title Professional Designation from the Pennsylvania Land Title Association in 1987 and served as its President in 1991-1992.

Rich has long been active teaching as an adjunct professor for St. Joseph’s University and is a popular speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Land Title Institute. He currently serves on the American Land Title Association (ALTA) Title Counsel Committee. He is a member of the bar of both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Lawrence C. Bell, Esq.
Lawrence C. (Larry) Bell, Esq. is Vice President, Senior Underwriter, and Regional Underwriting Counsel, Northeast/Mid-Atlantic and Northern New England Districts for Stewart Title Guaranty Company, with supervisory responsibility for Stewart Title’s underwriters in those Regions. Larry has over 30 years of residential and commercial transactional experience and has been working in the title industry for the past 18 years. He is the Director of the Stewart Title Continuing Education School based in New Jersey, a licensed Continuing Education Provider in that state, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. He is a past President of the New Jersey Land Title Association, is a delegate to the NJLTA Board of Governors and the New Jersey Land Title Rating Bureau, and a contributing editor of the NJLTA’s statewide publication, The Advocate.

Larry is a graduate of Syracuse University and New York Law School. He is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Yanky Braunstein
Mr. Yanky Braunstein established Clearpoint Services, LLC in 2006, in which it quickly become a respected, reliable and efficient entity in the land surveying industry; providing quality, cost-effective and timely land surveying services for its diversified clients.
After achieving a Masters in Rabbinic Studies and Literature at Beth Medrash Govovha in 2003, Mr. Braunstein continued his education and earned certification in AutoCAD at Middlesex County College in 2004, followed by an Associate Degree in Survey Engineering at NJIT in 2006; and continues his education to achieve his Bachelor Degree in Survey Engineering, as a part-time student of NJIT.
Mr. Braunstein’s broad experience within the land surveying industry has provided a grounded background in the field; his employment history includes Survey Project Manager, Crew Chief and Field Technician, and CADD Technician for land surveying firms.

Jay Greenfield, Esq.
ay Greenfield is counsel at A.Y. Strauss LLC. Mr. Greenfield has extensive experience representing financial institutions and investors in a broad range of corporate transactions within the areas of commercial real estate, finance, private equity and corporate restructuring. Prior to joining A.Y. Strauss LLC, Mr. Greenfield served with distinction as an associate in the corporate and finance practices of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Mr. Greenfield graduated, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Fordham University School of Law, and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.

Kim Steven Juhase, Esq.
Kim Steven Juhase, Esq., partner at Novak, Juhase & Stern, LLP, graduated from New York State University at Albany cum laude in 1974 and from Brooklyn Law School in 1977. Mr. Juhase was the Executive Editor of the New York International Law Review and Editor in Chief of the Brooklyn Barrister and the Corporate Counsel Reporter. He has written numerous articles dealing with international litigation and civil court practice. Mr. Juhase has served as the Secretary of the New York State Bar Association's Civil Practice Law and Practice Committee, and is admitted to all State and Federal Courts in New York and New Jersey.

Robert P. Knapp, III, Esq.
Robert Knapp is a partner at Mulholland & Knapp, LLP in New York City. He is a graduate of Columbia College and of Columbia Law School, where he was a Stone Scholar and Articles Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. Mr. Knapp served as law clerk to the Hon. Thomas C. Platt, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Knapp is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, as well as the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Knapp concentrates in title insurance and real estate litigation, as well as banking and financial services litigation and commercial litigation, and has some twenty-six reported decisions. His publications include “Full Faith and Credit to Same-Sex Marriages after ‘Windsor’”, October 24, 2013, New York Law Journal at 6 col. 2; “‘Lis’ than Meets the Eye: An Expired Notice of Pendency Creates No Unsafe Building Lien” (paper delivered to the annual convention of the New York State Land Title Association on August 21, 2006 in Williamsburg, Va.); “The New CPLR 7502(c): Can the Legislature Interpret Federal Law for New York?”, July 25, 2006 New York Law Journal at 4 col. 2; and “Words in Collision: Preemption of the New York ATM Safety Act after Barnett Bank v. Nelson,” September/October 1996 New York State Bar Journal. Mr. Knapp has also revised several sections of Weinstein, Korn & Miller New York Civil Practice (Lexis-Nexis.) Fluent in French, Mr. Knapp also speaks Korean and German. Mr. Knapp is the Chair of the Committee on Civil Practice Law and Rules of the New York State Bar Association, the former Chair of the Committee on Federal Constitution and Legislation and a member of the NYSBA Task Force on Gun Violence. He is also a member of the New York State Land Title Association. 

Shari S. Laskowitz, Esq.
Shari S. Laskowitz, an experienced litigator throughout the State and Civil Courts, is a partner with Nesenoff & Miltenberg, LLP, where she has represented clients in critical landlord and tenant disputes since 2003. She was admitted to practice in New York in 2000, and the U.S. District Courts for Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 2002. Ms. Laskowitz received her B.A. from SUNY Stony Brook, and her J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School. Ms. Laskowitz specializes in commercial and residential real estate in New York City, and has previously served as a panelist and lecturer on various New York real estate and landlord and tenant topics. Ms. Laskowitz is a member of the New York Women’s Bar Association, as well as the American Bar Association and the New York County Lawyer’s Association, Civil Court Practice Section.

Alexander Novak, Esq.
Alexander Novak, Esq., partner at Novak, Juhase & Stern, LLP, graduated from Brooklyn Law School magna cum laude in 1979 and from the University of Austria at Salzburg with a Masters in International Law in 1980. Mr. Novak is admitted to all State and Federal Courts in New York and the Court of Federal Claims, where he has litigated real estate contract disputes against the United States government. He has successfully litigated numerous real estate and other civil litigation matters in both Federal and New York courts. Much of the contents of this seminar is drawn from cases handled by the Long Island office of Novak, Juhase & Stern over the last twenty years. Mr. Novak has appeared on CBS Market Watch discussing Wall Street securities violations, and his firm has been mentioned in Time Magazine, Money Magazine, Kiplinger's Investing and Medical Economics.
